Try tapping your QR Code reader's share button. Then find a button that says something like "Open in [Your favorite browser here]" and click that. This should solve your problem.
If you are using an old browser like Internet Explorer or Safari on an iPad 1 or something like that, switch to a more modern browser such as Safari (later versions), Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox.
